Hello Students-

From Kuk Sool Won’s 50th anniversary to the Kuk Sool commercial and the printing of the Tae Kwon Do Times magazine, 2008 was an awesome year!

Our annual Dodge Ball tournament was a blast!  SBN Ben and KSN Ryan’s team tied!

I was out promoting our Martial Arts for St. Jude fundraiser this morning on WMBD Channel 31 and will be back out tomorrow morning on WEEK Channel 25 at 6:15 a.m.  Be sure to tune in tomorrow morning!  If you missed it this morning, you can still check it out online at: http://centralillinoisproud.com/content/fulltext/?cid=43881&shr=addthis

Class Schedule:

Upcoming events: Be sure to mark your calendars!

Annual Potluck and Class Pictures- will be held on February 28th.

Seminar and Black Belt Testing - Kuk Sa Nym (Grandmaster Suh) will be visiting our Do-Jang in June for black belt testing and the annual seminar. This is an excellent opportunity to train with other masters from other schools. Participation is mandatory!

Other info:

Sparring Gear-Now that we have sparring and grappling at least one day a week, yellow belts and above need to purchase sparring gear. White belts and yellow stripes need to bring in mouth pieces and groin cups (males). See me for equipment purchases.

Dress: For Safety purposes jewelry (earring, etc) is not to be worn to class. Wedding rings and religious medallions may be worn, however if these get damaged, the owner assumes responsibility. The garment under your uniform must be a Kuk Sool shirt or a plain shirt. Make sure the shirt has no logos and is either black or the same color as your belt.

Student Referral Program- I have business cards that give a complimentary free lesson. Write your name on the student line and when a referral becomes a student you will receive the referral credit.  If you have 3 referrals sign up in 90 days, you will win a $150.00 credit!

Annual Membership fees are due by January 31st! Please pay before the due date to avoid the higher fee!

Final Note:

February marks our 8th year anniversary of the Do-Jang (school) being open. I am very proud and pleased with the progress you all have shown, from classes to participating in demonstrations, tournaments and parades, Keep up the good work. With your continued support and diligent practice, 2009 will be as great, if not better than 2008!!!
